FLO enables GM Plug and Charge
Plug-in and instantly charge your car. GM EV drivers can charge their vehicles at FLO fast charging stations across Canada by simply plugging in the connector. Gone are the days of fumbling for your RFID card or looking for the app on your phone. FLO enables the GM Plug and Charge experience to seamlessly take care of identification, authorization, and charging. Once the charging session is complete, billing is also automatic. This feature makes it more convenient than ever for GM EV drivers to charge on Canada’s largest fast charging network.
There is a one-time enrolment process to activate GM Plug and Charge. The enrolment process starts on the myBrand App (myChevrolet/myCadillac/myGMC/myBuick). A GM EV driver must register their vehicle on their myBrand app first. The user also needs to register or log into their FLO mobile app and add funds.

- Activate “FLO Canada”
- Tap “Activate” button
- Log in with your credentials

How Does GM Plug and Charge Work?
The GM EV communicates a unique identifier (EVCCID) to the FLO fast charging station. The charging station then communicates this identifier to the FLO backend to authorize the vehicle. The FLO backend then authorizes the vehicle and communicates back to the charger to start a charging session.

What do I need to do to enable the GM Plug and Charge feature?
There is a one-time enrolment process to activate GM Plug and Charge. A GM EV driver must first register their vehicle on their myBrand App (myChevrolet/myCadillac/myGMC/myBuick). The user also needs to register or log into their FLO mobile app and add funds. To enable the GM Plug and Charge feature, a GM EV driver should follow the prompts on their GM MyBrand app.
Is there a fee to use the GM Plug and Charge feature?
There is no incremental fee to GM EV drivers to use the GM Plug and Charge feature on the FLO Canada fast charging network. However, you must have funds in your FLO account for the feature to work. If you do not have funds in your FLO account, the GM Plug and Charge feature will not work.
Can I use the GM Plug and Charge feature on FLO Level 2 charging stations?
Currently, the GM Plug and Charge feature is only available on FLO DC fast chargers in Canada.
Can I turn the GM Plug and Charge feature off?
Yes, you can disable the GM Plug and Charge feature from the myBrand app (myChevrolet/myCadillac/myGMC/myBuick).
Do I need to have money in my FLO account for the GM Plug and Charge feature to work?
If you have the GM Plug and Charge feature enabled, you must have funds in your FLO account for the feature to work. If you do not have funds in your FLO account, the GM Plug and Charge feature will not work.
Who do I call for help if the GM Plug and Charge feature isn’t working for my GM EV?
If you are having trouble enabling the GM Plug and Charge feature on your myBrand app (myChevrolet/myCadillac/myGMC/myBuick), then you need to contact GM Connection Center Team at 1-877-558-8352 for support.
If the FLO DC fast charger you are at is not working or if the GM Plug and Charge feature isn’t working at a FLO DC fast charging station in Canada, then you should contact FLO at 1-855-543-8356.
Does the GM Plug and Charge feature work with FLO’s roaming partner network?
No, the GM Plug and Charge feature only works on the FLO Canada DC fast charging network and only with GM EVs that have GM Plug and Charge enabled.
